The entry is seen in the synchronization log when the connection to the Exchange Server cannot be established

As an Outlook user, you have the option to access or manage Outlook mail objects such as contacts, appointments, messages, tasks, events, journals, and other similar features without an Internet connection. But you can’t send mail to other people. When Internet connectivity is available, you can send or receive email on your email account. But when the synchronization cannot be performed, various reasons may be responsible for that behavior. The reasons are OST file corruption, Exchange server failure, mailbox deletion and many more. In such situations, you should go for a third-party OST to PST converter. These tools convert OST to PST and make all the data in the OST file accessible.

Related to the above problem, please examine a synchronization log that appears in Outlook 2003 when trying to connect to the Exchange server to synchronize the OST file and the attempt is unsuccessful. The entry in the synchronization log appears like this:

“Starting integrity check of offline folder files.
Performing the initial synchronization.
Synchronizer Version 11.0.5604
Synchronizing mailbox ‘mailbox_name’

Synchronizing server changes in the ‘Drafts’ folder

In earlier versions of Outlook, the synchronization log appears in the “Deleted Items” folder.

Cause:
The above sync log is noticeable because the OST file is low on disk space. The problem also occurs due to damaged or destroyed OST file. The OST file cannot be synchronized when you try to connect to the Exchange server.

Resolution:
To solve this problem,

  • Sync OST file with the help of Exchange server, make sure the disk space is enough.
  • Another solution is to disable the cached mode and delete the OST file from the system. Re-enable cached mode, when Outlook is found to be working fine.
  • You can also try removing shared calendars, if any, as these also cause problems.
  • Also check the size of the PST as huge PST files cause this kind of problem.
  • If the above methods don’t work, try using an up-to-date backup.
  • But, if the backup is not available, then you have the last option to use a third party OST to PST converter.

These tools easily convert OST to PST and recover previously inaccessible OST file data. The unusable OST file becomes usable as the OST to PST converter converts it into a usable PST file. Stellar Phoenix Convert OST PST is used to convert OST to PST and recover all mail objects like contacts, messages, attachments, appointments, journals, tasks, events and many others. The original data file is not affected during the conversion process, as a new file is created with the necessary changes. The tool is compatible with MS-Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002 and 2000.
