The first things to do for a glorious year ahead

Gloria, it’s New Years! What does this new year have in store for you? To a large extent, you decide how this year will turn out. What you do at the beginning of the year determines what you get at the end of the year. This article encourages you to do the first things first to enjoy a glorious New Year.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you – Matthew 6:33 (NKJV).

Prepare your outside work, Make it suitable for you in the field; and then build your house – Proverbs 24:27 (NKJV).

In any race, the way you start affects the way you run and finish. So this New Year demands a great start for you to go through and end successfully; the choice is yours. As such, wise preparation on your part will produce a fruitful year for you.

The first things for the new year.

1. Thanksgiving

It is important to start the year on quality time by thanking God for all that He did for you last year, for bringing you into the New Year, and for what He intends to do for you this year. It is good to thank the Lord. In truth, there are many things to thank God for, including your life and salvation. This is because many people started last year with you but no longer exist, and your relationship with the Lord determines not only what comes your way here on earth, but also where you will spend eternity. So, you must thank God that you are not lost.

2. Spiritual preparation

Physical manifestations are the result of spiritual activities in the spiritual realm. If you don’t get involved, your enemies, including the devil, will do it against you. You need to dedicate yourself to the study of words and prayer, because you are a product of what is within you. When you have more of God, you will behave more like Him and you will overcome as He does. Therefore, for you to win this year, you must partner with the Lord who has never failed and can never fail.

3. Seek the kingdom of God.

Seeking the kingdom of God first guarantees that everything else will be added to it. This is because everything is subject to God and when you please Him and do His will, He easily commands your desires to go to you. Also, nothing is impossible with God, so seek his will first.

4. Plan now

Quality time with God generates ideas that will pay off for you, because God wants you to be successful and have the good things in life. So the next thing you need to do is plan according to what you have received from the Lord. The Almighty will help you execute it by directing you, but you must first do the planning.

5. Pursue and not procrastinate

The pursuit of vision is a crucial step to take if you want to smile at the end of this New Year. Ideas and plans that are not executed are not profitable and useless for you. In addition, the pursuit of your plans provokes your creativity and brings you closer to the desired end. Therefore, you must put actions in your plans, no matter how small by time. And don’t give place to procrastination, because it kills the visions.

6. Glorify God

As you follow your plans, never forget to give glory to God for every step or stage you reach. Continual glory for the Lord draws more of His divine intervention and you know you can’t go very far without Christ. Therefore, it is not enough to start with God; you must go on and finish with Him for you to have a glorious year.

This New Year promises wonderful things for you, including success, but you must take steps to receive them. Again, doing the first things first as indicated above will make you overcome all the obstacles that the enemy puts in front of you and grant you the desires of your heart at the end of the year. However, you must hold on to God throughout the year. It will be great for you in the name of Jesus.
