Table Inversion – Do your feet hurt?

Have you ever tried using an inversion table? If not, is it because you think it may hurt your feet? If you answered yes to the last question, then I have a few tips you can follow to avoid hurting your feet and still get the same benefits from using an inversion table.

First, remember and focus on what an inversion table can do for you. There really is no better way to stretch your body and back and reverse the negative effects gravity pulls on your body every day. No, remembering this benefit won’t stop your pain, but it will help you keep in perspective why you’re going through this pain in the first place.

Second, try to wear a good thick pair of socks when you hang the first few times. Instead of going barefoot, try wearing the thickest, best-fitting socks. I would suggest possibly finding a good pair of cotton socks that fit your foot nice and snug (no baggy), then put a good pair of wool socks over them (again, make sure the wool socks are somewhat snug). This will add a nice layer of padding between your feet and the inversion table and help prevent some if not all of the pain. Many people find that they do not experience pain when doing this.

Third, keep your shoes on. If you need to do this, make sure the shoes ‘fit’ the inversion table and your feet. What does this mean? It means that the shoes will not only not damage the machine, but also fit the machine well, allowing you to hang without hurting your feet any more than they would if you were hanging barefoot. This may take some tweaking and practice, but it should fix any issues you’re having.

Fourth, you can also try using gravity boots instead of an inversion table. Gravity boots are a bit more difficult to use, so if you’re not an athlete, make sure you have someone to help you. However, I have noticed that people complain less about their feet hurting when wearing inversion gravity boots, so it may be a better option for you, but again only if you are agile and athletic enough to be able to wear them. correctly and/or have someone there to help you with it.

Once again, don’t let pain stop you from experiencing the best stretch of your life!
