Metropolitan State University is one of the public universities located in two locations, one in Saint Paul and one in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It is known for the postgraduate and undergraduate courses of different faculties. The university was founded in 1971, for working students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies. Students from diverse backgrounds participate in courses at this urban university.

As the university was known for its working-class students, it is also known for its flexible hours. Due to the practice-oriented course, people enroll to create employment opportunities.
