Consumer Electronics Show Reveals the Best Electronics and Technologies for 2011

Last week the largest technology fair took place in the heart of the impressive American city of Las Vegas, the consumer electronics fair. The biggest names in the tech industry have come up with a host of groundbreaking new technologies that will shake up 2011! So what did major electronic companies and even a pop star offer?

At the annual CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2011, we saw a lot of dynamic and innovative products, some will be huge hits, some not so much! To revolutionize gaming, Turtle Beach has created a wireless headset (PX5) with surround sound that works with Xbox 260 and PS3. The PX5 can be used not only for a surround sound experience with headphones; It can be used for chatting on the PS3, as a wireless headset for mobile communication and AD2P playback. This gamer fashion accessory also has personal customization settings, which allow you to change the sound level, for example, of music or voices in a particular game. These settings can be preset, allowing you to choose the sound levels for each sound sample in each of your games. A great gadget that could easily be a hit in today’s gaming market.

Samsung also showcased its new flexible screen for mobile phones, a technology that is still in progress. The screen with Amoled technology can bend in an arc, supporting up to an incredible 450 degrees in the making! Samsung already released a previous flexible model, however, it was not as slim as the 2011 prototype, nor did it have the same resolution quality. With a thickness of 0.3mm and a high-quality resolution, Samsung’s model could open up a new future for smartphone and display technology. We give this a thumbs up for 2011!

If energy efficiency is your concern, General Electric’s digital energy saving range is for you. Including a smart meter, a hub – the hub for all connected electronics, and a new energy-saving display affordable for your average ‘Joe,’ the company has a lot to offer for 2011. GE’s 2011 saving display aims to be more accurate than ever before by telling consumers when peak and off-peak hours occur, allowing them to choose the best time to economically use household products. Although there are already a range of power readers on the market, not all of them are as ‘smart’ as this one, nor are they as well priced for the latest technology.

Consumer Electronics 2011, also the debut of several soon-to-be-production-ready products, including the Nintendo 3D handheld, part of the 3D revolution the world has swept over the past year; and photographic sunglasses from House of Gaga and Polaroid. Portable Nintendo 3D is bound to be a hit as gaming has taken off in recent years, while futuristic Gaga glasses that can take and display photos may be a hot novelty for 2011.

CES 2011 was a huge success as all exhibits produced innovative and dynamic consumer electronics products, all of which are fit for today’s market and will revolutionize technology for years to come.
