  1. Tea Kansas History Museum offers a lot for the visitor. Here is the oldest surviving Santa Fe train locomotive dating back to 1880. Some of the exhibits in this fabulous museum are John Brown’s pike, Civil War battle flags, Quantrill’s raid flag, Carry Nation hammer, 1868 stagecoach and a 1950s diner. An impressive Museum gift shop will finish off the holiday.
  2. Tea Great Overland Museum It is a fantastic railway museum featuring train locomotives and carriages as well as numerous exhibits and artifacts from this wonderful old railway station. There is an excellent gift shop, offering memorabilia from the railway station and the history of the railway.
  3. Tea Old Prairie Town at the Ward-Meade Historic Site will send one back in history to the Old West. One will be able to see the Victorian mansion, log cabin, train station, one room schoolhouse, stone barn, gift shop, general store, church and the beautiful two and a half acre botanical gardens.
  4. Tea Topeka Zoo it is an excellent place for children. There’s a living room where one can experience hands-on interaction with animals and learn about the zoo and animal life. there is the black bear exhibit where four beautiful black bears live. There is the Schendel Insect Zoo and the Rainforest. Tea Grazer’s Coffee offers lunch and snacks and the zoo gift shop offers a delightful collection of books and artifacts.
  5. Tea kansas state capitol It is one of the most beautiful capitol buildings in the United States. It is also a museum of photographs, artifacts, and documents covering the history of Kansas. It took 37 years to build this magnificent structure and it is well worth visiting.
  6. Tea brown v. Board of Education Museum is a remarkable history of the civil rights movement. The historic decision to desegregate the school system forever changed the entire school system in the United States. Here, one can understand the history of this momentous event and see documents and artifacts from the time.
  7. Tea Kansas Children’s Discovery Center It’s a mecca for kids, offering every exhibit imaginable for kids to participate in. There is a beautiful cafeteria so one can spend the whole day in this fabulous place.
