The most critical area for weight loss is the stomach. That’s right, guys: losing that beer belly matters a lot. And ladies, a flat and firm stomach is something that can be achieved with motivation and knowledge. The gender distinction plays an important role in the shape of the abdomen: women do not need to accumulate muscles, and losing fat and water is not enough for men. Here are a couple of gender-specific exercise schemes that will tone those midsections. And yes, the plans overlap. So if the two of you are motivated to get fit, there are several exercises you can enjoy together.

Ladies, since building muscle isn’t the focus of your ab routine, let’s skip the sets, reps, and push-ups for now. Instead, your abs workout should focus on your cardiovascular workout. Jog twenty to thirty minutes a day, four to five days a week. You will lose any extra water weight you may be carrying. Please don’t misunderstand: stay hydrated. Drink water often, especially in the morning; drink water instead of soft drinks, not consume alcoholic beverages during the week and even mix juices with water. Another good exercise for the abs is to swim for ten to twenty minutes three to four days a week. Swimming is a full-body exercise, great for all parts, including your abs. Finally, for just four to six continuous minutes, three to four days a week, do sit-ups, push-ups, back extensions, and razor crunches. These four will cover the entire abdomen.

Guys, if you have a girlfriend or wife and you want a good abs workout, run and swim with your lady. You will be a happy couple for it. Stay hydrated, too. In the meantime, work your abs every other day, and really go after them on those days. Here’s a list of moves to do: standing cable crunch, weighted crunch, pushup, figure-8 crunch, side knife, and back extension. There is much more to do; Do more research, it will ensure your commitment, your motivation to lose fat and gain muscle.

Motivation and commitment is where getting fit starts. I won’t lie to you, the rest is hard, but the benefits will make you a healthier, happier, more attractive person.
