How much does it cost to wrap my car?

Cars come in all different shapes, sizes, models, colors, and makes. I am often asked many times, “How much would it cost to wrap my car?”, and all those times, I have to dig deeper with these potential customers about their different needs and wants. Many novices often think that car wraps have a uniform price, which changes according to size, but there is much more than they think. Let me break it down here.

Car model:

As mentioned above, all cars are different. Take, for example, a Volkswagen Golf. Others may see just a standard hatchback, but as professional car wrappers, we have to look beyond body type. First, we need to break down the trim level. Does the car have a body kit? Are there any distinctive changes in style? Is there a sunroof? What kind of bumper does it have? Are the headlights different? Are there scratches, dents or old marks on the car? These are just some of the questions we need to be able to answer, which is why we can never give proper quotes unless we see the vehicle in person. Sometimes we can give quotes on the spot as some vehicles do not differ, but this is a rare case.

Vinyl Type:

This, luckily for me, is much easier for us to break down. A good vehicle wrap company, like us, should have a complete database with all our material available. The material can alter the price quite a bit. Depending on the finish, such as matte black, gloss blue, metallic red, satin yellow, chrome orange, etc., all of which can affect the price. The brand of material can also affect the price. Depending on where you go, some shops may use cheap, inferior brands of vinyl. Fortunately, companies that take a high degree of care only use the best, and the vinyl comes exclusively from 3M and/or Avery Dennison, who are some of the largest suppliers of vinyl and adhesive products in the world. It’s important to make sure that wherever you wrap your car, the shop uses brands like 3M, Avery Dennison, Oracal and/or Arlon. These are the best brands that guarantee that your wrap not only looks good, but also looks good for a long period of time.

Body panel:

This may be an odd consideration, but sometimes, because the wrap business can attract customers who only want to wrap specific parts of their vehicles. Parts like the roof, door handles and hood are the most requested option. The placement of stickers and/or decals is also requested, mainly stripes that run through the body panel or side skirts. This, combined with the different custom stickers we can design, are often factored into the final decision you make on your car vinyl costs.
