Is there more to life than the physical world around us?

All cultures throughout history have followed some form of religion and believed in a life beyond physical life.
Christianity gives humanity its greatest asset: faith in God and Jesus Christ!
The grand commision
Jesus Christ ordained His Apostles, in “The Great Commission”, to spread the Christian message and convert all people to Christianity.
The spiritual life encourages evangelism, Church service, and charity to spread each individual’s sacred relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Spiritual realization
Physical life is temporary.
All things come to an end.
Spiritual realization is about people who are aware of their spiritual needs.
Jesus said: “Man does not live only on bread (the physical) but on the Word of God (the spiritual).
Spiritual health is achieved when we begin to understand the importance of the body, mind, and soul and how they work together to build our overall well-being.
* A healthy body keeps you healthy and active.
* A healthy mind is the individual’s ability to think, reason, and make decisions through positive thoughts and healthy values.
* A healthy soul that looks to an eternal future, keeps you satisfied and satisfied.
Spiritual goals “nourish the soul” with love for God and neighbor.
God’s Laws of Life:
* Guide us to pursue those things that are true, healthy, and good.
* Helps overcome fears and worries by illuminating our path through life.
* Provides peace of mind and comfort as we seek our eternal salvation in the eternal and heavenly Kingdom of God.
Spirit soul
* God is an eternal spirit
* Heaven is a spiritual and eternal world
* We cannot see the soul of a human being.
The soul is the link between the physical body and the spiritual self.
It consists of your mind, character, thoughts, and feelings.
A beautiful soul is someone with a kind and generous nature who extends empathy and goodwill to his fellow man.
Feeding your soul
The Spirit of God within us enables us to seek spiritual realities.
We spiritually nourish our souls by going to church to hear the Voice of God through the liturgy and the sacraments and to meet Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who leads his flock to greener pastures.
Our spiritual eyes allow us to “see” Christ within us.
“Empty Soul”
Since the Enlightenment (an intellectual movement of the late seventeenth and eighteenth centuries that emphasizes reason and individualism) man has gradually drifted away from God.
The “spiritually poor” are separated from God and his spiritual goods.
They do not believe in the existence of a higher Spiritual Force of any kind.
Their beliefs are based on science and the theory of evolution.
For atheists, “there is no hope” in the heavenly Kingdom of God because they believe that life reaches a dead end.
An “empty soul” does not have the “Fear of God” in its heart.
The fear of God reminds us that:
* All actions have consequences.
* We are responsible to someone.
That Someone is God!
The fear of God:
* Saves us from falling into sinful ways.
* Take people to be responsible for their lives.
Spiritual awakening
Spiritual enlightenment means being “awakened” to spiritual realities.
Examine beliefs and expand the mind to a new awareness of spiritual realities beyond the physical senses.
Jesus Christ says: “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
The spirit soul speaks through the images and senses of God’s wonderful creations.
Just look around you, above and beyond.
It speaks through spiritual thoughts that fill the mind with beauty and joy.
When we are spiritually healthy, we feel more connected to God and to those around us.
Our actions become more consistent with our beliefs and values.
Spiritual values encompass all that is good, moral, and healthy to guide us from mistakes that can cause harm.
True joy and comfort can only be experienced through faith in Someone greater than ourselves.
Salvation
Forgiveness and repentance open the spiritual door to obtain God’s gift of salvation.
Redemption is defined as the act of correcting past mistakes to obtain forgiveness.
Salvation is defined as being saved from sin and its consequences.
This means turning from sinful ways (repentance), turning to God (faith), and putting our trust in Jesus Christ.
As Christians who understand what follows this physical life, we are comforted as we look to God and Jesus Christ for our salvation to eternal life in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
