Whether one supports him and the policies he articulates, or opposes them, most would probably agree, President Donald Trump’s behavior, rhetoric, attitude, and relationships with others are apparently different from anyone you have seen before, from its predecessors. (in recent memory). When you occupy the White House, your words, in general, have potential ramifications, in the future, in a relevant and sustainable way. Furthermore, we have never before witnessed as many cases as other public officials, either knowingly or accidentally, allowing this type of behavior. This is true, whether it is affecting constitutional guarantees, international relations, the need for a timely response to the dangers of Climate Change, the protection of our environment, or many other areas! With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss 5 of these ramifications, and why, it’s important to take note, before it’s too late.
1. Limits of the Executive Power: When he ran for office, Mr. Trump famously proclaimed that he was so popular that he could shoot and kill someone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. Unfortunately, since he assumed the presidency of the United States, it seems that he has tried to progressively expand the powers of the Executive Branch. He has surrounded himself with individuals, who train him, and this conduct, by proclaiming, our Chief Executive, has the rights extended, etc! If, as it seems to many, he goes unpunished, regardless of the various cases revealed, of excessive and improper behavior, such as with respect to Ukraine, Russia, China, North Korea, as well as his rhetoric and actions, at the national level, in terms of apparently trying to ignore the protection of all liberties, justice and liberties, for all, instead of trying to choose, and choose!
two. Balance of powers: Our Founding Fathers believed that we needed a Balance of Powers, with co-equal branches of government, of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches.
