Wii-Fit Games

Wii Fit is one of the fitness video games and is developed by “Nintendo” for the Wii console. It is an exercise game that uses the “Wii Balance Board”. The game includes 48 activities and games related to fitness. The board (sensor board used in the game) can detect up to 150 kg of mass. The software then calculates height using body mass and center of balance.

Nintendo generated more than $ 1.26 billion in revenue as it was the third best-selling game and sold for approximately $ 89.99 US. The game was originally released in “Japan” in December 2007 and was later released in other countries during the months of April and May 2008. In the first week of its release in Japan, sales were estimated at more than one million dollars and in the first year it sold 3,125,000 copies in Japan alone, which was the best-selling Wii game in Japan and the third best of all games sold that year.

The game is broadly divided into 4 basic categories, namely Yoga, which helps you balance, strength training exercises to relate to muscle toning, aerobics to keep your heart beating with fun, and finally, balance games. to get in shape. Depending on how much time you spend and how well you perform the activities, you will earn “Adjustment Credits” which are stored in the “Adjustment Bank” and help you unlock new activities in the game. The credits provided by the game are not based on the fun (that is, the time spent playing the game) but on the actual time spent on the activity. One can unlock activities that are more competitive by scoring 100% on them.

It also helps players to perform other activities, which have not been included in the exercise times, but which are part of their activity log. These activities are further divided into 3 categories, namely, light, medium and heavy, where light contains guitar, stretch and piano; medium consists of gardening, cleaning, painting, and walking; Heavy sports activities include soccer, dancing, cycling and swimming.

The game was awarded as the “Best Use of the Balance Board” in 2008 by IGN for Best Video Game and in 2009. The British Academy Video Game Awards Award for Innovation. Besides these, this game was also nominated for awards like Best Sports Game and Best New IP.
