Why is exercising at home better for slim guys?

I used to love going to the gym, but my life has gotten busy and time had to run short. I finally stopped going to the gym because of this. But I don’t regret it at all. Exercising at home has made my life so much easier. To show you the difference, let me give you a rundown of my typical trip to the gym.

I would change, fix my hair (because you have to look good in the gym, I mean, do girls look great?), I would get in the car, drive 15 minutes, exercise, drive 15 minutes, get home. Pretty typical workout. But did you notice the time cost of going to the gym compared to staying home? That’s 30 minutes of wasted time traveling in my car. Not to mention the time it took me to change to go to the gym. If I had stayed home I would have been ready in an instant! Advantage n. # 1 Going to the gym requires time, while exercising at home does not.

The second reason that exercising at home is better is that there are other people in the gym. To elaborate on that, it’s the intimidating guys and the extremely attractive girls. As a skinny kid, every time I enter the gym, I am intimidated by the gym monsters who spend most of their lives in the gym. They are there flexing in the mirror and lifting weights that would instantly crush me. At home I am the strongest boy there is! I love that feeling and I refuse to let it go.

Gym girls are a completely different subject. I can’t stop starring, it’s as simple as that! I am constantly looking for new ways to capture a gaze without them (or anyone else) noticing. This takes me off and distracts me from my exercise. I love them, but I’d rather be able to focus and don’t tell me to ignore it and focus at the gym. Females are a sight to behold. At home, all I have to look at is my own mug. Which I like, but she doesn’t look like Kate Upton. Advantage # 2 No distractions!

The third reason I like to exercise at home is that it is cheaper in the long run. At least for me, because the amount of weights I can bear is not heavier than me (yet!). Also, the price of my local gym membership is ridiculous. I bought some cheap weights and a straight bar at a local yard sale (yes, Mom, you said yard sales are great places for bargains). They may not be glamorous, but they get the job done. I mainly do a workout that I found online called “the skinny guy’s home workout.” Advantage # 3 … Money!

In general, exercising at home is better because I don’t have to travel, I am not distracted or intimidated, and it has been cheaper in the long run! Join my cause to quit the gym and work out at home!
