No Way Out Come Out

The film is set during the Cold War, in Washington D.C. Tom Farrell plays a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy who is given a mission by Secretary of Defense David Brice (Gene Hackman). The mission is to spy on Soviet submarines. During one of these missions, Farrell meets Susan Atwell (Sandra Dee) at a posh D.C. reception. She is Brice’s mistress. When the two clash, Brice accidentally kills her, leaving Tom to deal with the fallout.

The original version starred Ray Milland, Charles Laughton, and Maureen O’Sullivan, while No Way Out features a cast of many familiar names.
The film is a good example of a genre film. Despite being polarizing, it is a solid, if underrated film. It shows how a simple situation can spiral into a nightmare. It also has a great ending. It’s a good example of a high-end, medium budget thriller.
When Did No Way Out Come Out?
The film’s success catapulted Costner to Hollywood’s A-list. The handsome costner had a confident demeanor and was more handsome in his Navy whites.
