Women have always played an important role in the early Church and even in the Church today, as they have become a source of support for their spouse in ministry. Below is a list of the top three Pentecostal preachers in Nigeria and their various ministries. A unique characteristic that connects the three of them is the fact that they are all widows.

Pastor Nkechi Anayo Iloputaife

She is the wife of the founder of Faith Revival Ministries World Outreach Lagos, the late Bishop Harford Iloputaife. A charismatic preacher with great determination, zeal and passion for singles and youth, she continues to be a major force in the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria.

One of the distinguishing features is her unique pedagogical exposition which has seen her invited to conferences and seminars in Nigeria, Europe and around the world. She is also the founder and president of “Handmaiden of God Ministry International”, a worldwide women’s ministry with branches throughout Nigeria. Bishop Nkechi is a proud mother with two wonderful children: Helda and Chukwuebuka.

Bishop Margret Idahosa

She is the matriarch of the popular Idahosa family in Edo State, Nigeria. Her husband, Bishop Benson Idahosa, was the founding father of the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria. She assumed the leadership position at Church of God Mission International when her husband passed into eternal glory on March 12, 1998.

A woman of great faith and diligence, she has featured prominently in the growth of the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria with her expository scholarly teachings and ministry both in Nigeria and around the world. She is the founder and president of the Christian Women Fellowship International (CFWI). He ministers to women, youth, and singles through conventions and seminars.

Apostle Eunice Gordon Osagiede

Apostle Eunice Osagiede is a woman with a mandate to win souls to God through the instrumentality of the pure word of God. She is the wife of the late Bishop Gordon Osagiede, president of the Spirit and Life Bible Church based in Benin City in the state of Edo. She is an epitome of inner and outer beauty with a unique gift of prayers. Her call led her to start the Divinity prayer ministry and the Jesus Women prayer band ministry.

Her passion for impacting young people and singles with the grace of holiness and righteous living has made her a popular guest speaker at most conventions and seminars for women in Nigeria.
