The secret to end your phobia: control your imagination!

Think about the phobia you have. For example: if you are so afraid of driving or swimming, think about it very carefully.

What makes you so afraid to drive? Everybody drives their car.

Why should you be afraid of swimming? Everyone swims, and there are pools and beaches everywhere.

So what is the basis of your phobia?

A phobia is a form of intensified panic attack and anxiety within your mind. It has been built a long time in the past. You could develop it when you are still a child. Or, you may develop it when you have a certain life experience that leaves a deep emotional scar on your being. So it can be very difficult to eliminate your phobia from your life.

However, with the right techniques, you will be able to completely remove it.

The first thing you have to do is control your imagination. This is the secret to ending your phobia. It’s all inside your brain.

When you experience a kind of phobia, your mind is playing games with you. It tries to trigger bad memories in the past, and it intensifies it more and more.

If you are afraid of driving, it may trigger the experience in the past when you were in a very serious accident with your car. If you are afraid to swim, your mother may tell you that swimming is dangerous and that you will drown if you try.

Therefore, your mind will constantly deceive you as long as you continue to submit to your own terrible imagination.

The only way to overcome your phobia is to take control of your imagination. So when you feel the sensation of fear before doing something you are afraid to do, do a double check on your mind.

First, you have to ask your mind what exactly you fear. When you come up with the answer, ask more questions about why that answer should be correct.

Second, it further intensifies your terrifying imagination. When you tell yourself that you dare not drive a car, even in your neighborhood, let the fear sink deep into your mind. In fact, you have to become more and more fearful. After a few minutes of teasing your mind, say to yourself, “Look, there’s nothing to be afraid of!” or “All is smoke and mirror!”

Play with your imagination and take control of it because once you are in control of what is inside your mind, you will be free of your phobia. You can do it gradually day by day, and in time you will be able to control your mind without any problem.
