A mix of antique shops and specialty stores draws visitors to Newberry, South Carolina. The renovated buildings in the historic downtown district are home to a variety of interesting shops to explore. Downtown Memorial Park is a great place to take a break from shopping, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby when shoppers are ready for lunch or dinner. Here are some of Newberry’s most popular shopping destinations.

Newberry has long been a mecca for antiques lovers. Several antique shops and malls are located in the city center. Eurolux Antiques, at 1409 Main Street, offers beautiful, high-quality antique furniture, antique collectibles, and home decor accessories. The store specializes in French and Chinese furniture, clocks, vintage lighting, and hand-painted majolica. They also carry furniture of old reproductions of King Henry. The owners became interested in beautiful European antiques while living in Germany. Eurolux offers free shipping anywhere in the Continental US. Local artist Nick Davenport’s art gallery is located at 1200 Main Street. The Newberry native paints the wildlife, landscapes, and beach scenes of the Carolinas. Davenport has won several awards for his work. The gallery sells his originals and prints.

Owner Beth Hipp offers a fine selection of women’s clothing, accessories and jewelry at her store, Elizabeth’s on Main, at 1216 Main Street. Store hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. M. At 5 p. M. And on Saturdays until 3 p.m. M. Denim Express, at 1308 Main Street, sells jeans for men, women, youth and children. Shoppers will find other items for the family, such as men’s golf shirts and women’s clothing and fashion jewelry. Blackman’s Jewelry has been Newberry’s full service jewelry for 20 years. They specialize in diamonds and custom-designed pieces, as well as home jewelry repair. Blackman’s is located at 1214 Main Street, and the store’s hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. M.
