Mazda feels positive about vehicle sales

With sales figures released for June, many automakers are now evaluating their performance against annual targets. While the overall market is showing some growth, Japanese car giant Mazda seems very pleased with its sales performance. With the new Mazda 3 on sale boosting sales figures, the company has achieved strong sales both in the month of June and so far this year.

Mazda has implemented a carefully considered strategy to ensure that they retain their market share. The company has recently launched all new Mazda 2 and Mazda 3 models for sale, which has been complemented by an intensive advertising campaign. This focused approach to new innovations and design touches added to the range has ensured that consumers are made aware of the attractive package that this brand offers at a reasonable price.

According to the figures published by the Chamber of Automotive Industries, the automotive market has shown some recovery from the recent falls experienced. This has brought the market sales figures on par with last year’s figures to date. Increased sales in South Australia and New South Wales have offset lower sales in Western Australia and Queensland. This means that the overall totals were just 500 units below the industry peak last June.

With light commercials and SUV models proving popular with consumers, accounting for more than fifty percent of vehicle sales, it’s even more impressive that models like the current Mazda 3 on sale continue to show demand. In fact, the Mazda 3 has retained the title of Favorite Car in the Nation. The Toyota Corolla had strong sales in June for the small car segment, but even the increase in sales did not make the Corolla close the gap with the Mazda 3.

Many experts believe that Toyota’s sales performance is likely to be an indication of stronger performance for the second half of the year. However, it would not be wise to write off the Mazda range. The brand has received a great deal of press and awards since the new All range of vehicles began to be introduced. Mazda has spent a lot of time implementing new innovations, including the new ACTIVIST system, to ensure that consumers in the non-premium price category can expect quality even on a more modest budget.

Mazda continues to lead the way in the hot segment of SUV sales with the CX5 retaining a fantastic market share. The CX5 clearly dominates the sales figures in this segment with Hyundai, Jeep and Toyota fighting for second place.

While the second half of the year will need to maintain momentum to exceed 2013 figures, many experts anticipate further sales growth in the market. This means that Mazda is likely to have a fantastic 2014.
