Is Club Med at Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, Florida a good place for a family vacation?

If you’re on vacation this year and want to stay somewhere nice, all-inclusive, and family-oriented, you might want to consider Club Med in Sandpiper Bay, Florida.

Two weeks ago, I didn’t know anything about Club Med. I had heard the name over the years, but really didn’t know what it had to offer. Then I had the opportunity to visit the place for free. You can’t be that, can you?

When I arrived, I realized that although the property was a bit older, it was still very well maintained and had a lot to offer. Another thing I noticed was the friendly staff, and I’m not just saying that. These people seemed to love what they did. Not only that, many were kind enough to sit down with you and have lunch. I met a guy from California and a girl from France.

Fourth

When I got to my room, I was impressed with the size and cleanliness. Honestly, I loved it. It had a view of the water and a nice big bed to kick back in and watch TV at night while I chilled out.

Food

Now, this is where it gets really good. In addition to the buffet which is unbelievably amazing with a huge list of options, there was a place called The Riverside Grille. They had some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, and I’ve eaten very well over the last few months. My first night for dinner, I had stuffed shrimp and a steak. The steak was so good I wanted a second. And when it came time for dessert, it was white chocolate bread pudding. Which due to my diet, I passed. Silly of me, right?

Night life

Although it was low season, there was still music and a bar called Slice. Here you could have all the drinks you wanted, listen to early night acoustic music and DJs and bands depending on the time of day and time of week. I was a fan of the place.

Coffee

One thing I really liked about Club Med at Sandpiper Bay was the fact that you were never far from the cafe. I think this is because so many Europeans spend time at Club Meds around the world and just like me, they love coffee.

Entertainment

There are endless things to do at Club Med at Sandpiper Bay. If you just want to be lazy and sit by the pool, great, go for it. If you want to take sailing lessons, fine, great. However, you can also work out, go to the spa, play golf, tennis, miniature golf, pickleball, and even take trapeze lessons. Yes, you can take trapeze lessons and get on the trapeze and fly into the arms of a professional trapeze artist. I didn’t do the whole trapeze though.

So again, if you’re looking to go to an all-inclusive resort in South Florida that has a lot to offer, check out Club Med at Sandpiper Bay.
