India: the dream destination for travelers

A century ago, when India was talked about, it was invariably about snake charmers, yogis, and beggars on the streets. Now that information technology is India’s main label, the progress it has made is certainly visible in the growing strength of its currency (rupee) in international equity markets. Like the booming industry, tourism is also expanding very rapidly in India. Below is a list of places I have visited in India.

Places to visit in India:

Taj Mahal (UttarPradesh) -This tomb of Mumtaj Mahal, wife of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan has not only found a place in the recently concluded search for new seven wonders of the world, but has also earned first place in it. The Taj really deserves this position. It is said that 20,000 workers worked day and night to build this epitome of love. It is generally considered the best example of Mughal architecture. I have been here twice and I still want to go back. The beauty of this monument is impressive. Taj mahal is built in Agra where other places of interest are fateh pur sikri castle.

This is the land of Rajputs, the tribe that is known for its courage, hospitality, and deep sense of honor and pride. There are many attractions here, for example Amber Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort (people come especially at night to see the beautiful city by moonlight), Jal Mahal, the “Palacio del Agua” is located in the center of a lake. , Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) is Jaipur’s most memorable landmark and is also its icon.

In Jaipur you can buy various items such as handicrafts, lacquered brass work, textiles, etc. Tie and dye textiles (bandhani), Sanganeri and Bagru block print are important varieties of trademark and fabric style.

Kullu-Manali (Himachal Pradesh) The cold winds seem to play music to your ears. Enjoy the intimacy of the city with the snow line with the warmth of the natural hot sulfur springs in the same vacation. Besides sightseeing, you should try adventure sports and activities like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, or mountain biking for a complete vacation experience. Vacation spots in Manali are worth visiting, including the wooden Hadimba temple in the Dhungiri Van Vihar forest area and the gleaming Buddhist monasteries or gompas. Nearby is the Rohtang Pass, the place where you can see the spectacle of the clouds sweeping over the majestic mountains. Kullu-manali has a special place in my memories as I went there with our street theater group and we had a lot of fun together.

Purchases: You can buy woolen souvenir items such as the splendid shawls and hats. Other Himalayan crafts, such as prayer wheels, masks, charms and musical instruments, add a Tibetan touch to your purchases.

Hate-If you have been to Goa, you will come back again to visit this beautiful city of beaches. Goa’s beaches are what make the state one of the main tourist attractions in India. Goa offers you fishing beach, natural beach, rocky beach, white sand beach all in one plate. Goa is a plastic-free zone, so the use of plastic bags, etc., is discouraged. Pondicherry – Pondichery was a French colony and the French influence is clearly noticeable. The entire city is divided into 2 sections, the French Quarter or ‘White City’ and the Indian Quarter or ‘Black City’. Many streets still retain their French names and French-style villas are a common sight here. The city has such a laid-back attitude that no one seems to be in a rush to do anything or go anywhere. For sunbathing, swimming or just strolling, Pondichery beach and the 1 1/2 km long promenade are the most charming parts of the city. The Pondicherry Museum is a treasure trove of antiquities. In addition to a section on French India with rooms in typical French style, the museum dedicates sections to Archeology, Geology, Sculpture, Bronzes, Weapons, Engraving, Handicrafts and Art. The botanical garden preserves a great variety of exotic species of plants. Auroville (the city of dawn) is where 2,000 people from 30 different countries are fulfilling their dream of a united human race.
