This is the second installment in our PUBG Mobile survival guide series. Last week, we shared with you some tips and tricks to survive the violent opening moments of the game. This week, it’s everyone’s favorite sweat-soaked nightmare: welcome back to Driver’s Ed, y’all. Let’s go over some of the Battle Royale Road rules.

Find the right car

PUBG Mobile is familiar with the vehicles, but most of them are abandoned and too damaged to be drivable. Learn the visual profiles of drivable vehicles so you don’t waste time.

Certain vehicles lend themselves to certain situations. Motorcycles and dune buggies may offer good speed and handling, but leave the driver and passengers more exposed to enemy fire. More armored vehicles like the VW Bus and Jeep keep those inside safer, but they could be more dangerous in… other ways.

Driving in PUBG is easy to learn, but like real driving, it’s hard to master. Vehicle handling can differ greatly between types, so be careful when driving. Bottom line: Not all cars are created equal.

PUBG employs a physics engine that can make your car react in a realistic way on rough and unstable terrain, so be careful: you’ll end up flying. If you’re not good on bumps, stick between the lines and stay on the road for a (usually) smoother ride. Try tapping the arrow buttons while driving to make smaller, more precise adjustments to your car’s direction. Need to do a quick 180? Give him the ole’ lead thumb.

Usually your better instincts would tell you to avoid driving directly over someone. Not so in PUBG – hitting another player with your vehicle will result in a quick and easy kill.
