Home Remedies for Oily Hair: Get Rid of It Effectively

Oily hair is a common problem faced by many men and women. This condition is mainly due to the excessive production of sebum by the sebaceous glands. Although sebum is essential for healthy hair, too much sebum makes hair greasy and sticky. Factors that can contribute to oily hair include weather conditions such as severe heat or humidity, hereditary hormonal imbalances, increased androgen hormones, some medical conditions, use of hair styling products; frequent shampooing and conditioning, and excessive brushing and combing. If you have oily hair, you should not worry, as this type of hair can be treated effectively with certain home remedies.

Apple cider vinegar is one of the best natural cures for this problem. It is beneficial in removing excess oils and chemicals from the hair. Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a cup of water. After washing your hair, soak it with this solution. Then rinse with lukewarm or lukewarm water. Lemon is also a good natural remedy for oily hair. Squeeze the juice from one lemon and mix it with a cup of water. Use this mixture to rinse. After that, wash your hair with lukewarm water. Take equivalent amounts of mouthwash and witch hazel, mix them together and apply it to your scalp using a cotton ball.

However, if you have dry or split ends, use a mild hair conditioner on the ends of your hair. Don’t use strong shampoos on your hair. It’s also best to avoid hydrating or moisturizing shampoos. Try to use a shampoo designed for oily hair. Avoid frequent hair brushing and the application of hair styling products such as gels and sprays.
