Colon hydrotherapy as a colon cleansing method

Colon cleansing is a practice in which the contents of the colon are expelled, by chemical or mechanical means.

There are three main ways that you can cleanse your colon:

To. Healthy diet rich in fiber
B. Laxatives
vs. Colon hydrotherapy or colon water therapy

The third method, colonic hydrotherapy, is the purely mechanical method of cleansing the colon.

History of colonic hydrotherapy

Colonic hydrotherapy has been used in three different civilizations during ancient times:

1. Egypt (during the time of the pharaohs)
2. Greek (during the rise of democratic city-states)
3. Indian (during the development of commerce and science)

The fact that it has remained a dominant practice says a lot about how people view the practice.

While some remain apprehensive about using water to cleanse the gut, colon clinics are popping up in the United States and the United Kingdom to serve a growing circle of repeat customers. A hundred years ago, a Nobel laureate spoke clearly about the role of the colon. Russian bacteriologist Ilya Mechnikov stated that “death begins in the colon.”

Tracking ailments to the colon

About 90% of all visits to doctors and hospitals are related to the digestive tract. Human disease can often also be traced to an organ of origin: the human colon. Therefore, colon cleansing becomes a different activity because it addresses the need to detoxify one of the most important organs in the body.

According to Jo Vega, a 13-year colonic hydrotherapy practitioner in the UK and a registered member of the Association and Register of Colonic Hydrotherapists, cleansing the colon is vital to good health: “I think it can be a beneficial treatment for everyone. The colon is an important elimination organ and stress, diet, and modern life can affect its function. Cleansing the colon can help all of the body’s systems work better. “

Why do we need a colon cleanse? Niamh Fitzgerald, another colon hydrotherapist from the UK (in Dublin), notes the “backwardness” and accumulation of waste in the human colon:

“We are supposed to go to the bathroom about 30 minutes after eating, so you can imagine the buildup that builds up. This buildup is home to hostile yeast and pathogenic bacteria.”

Some beneficial effects and current technologies

At present, so-called probiotic supplements such as psyllium husk are advertised to cleanse the colon. However, colon hydrotherapists like Fitzgerald argue that such supplements would be useless if the colon is hostile today.

It seems that acidity and toxin content are also crucial elements for the chemical means of cleansing the colon. Care must be taken to condition the colon for less invasive colon cleansing methods.

Colon hydrotherapy is touted as a quick way to detoxify. Fitzgerald further argues that using water to flush waste through the back area benefits the kidneys and skin.

Specialized machines are now used in colon clinics to help facilitate colon hydrotherapy sessions. Temperature levels are regulated and disposal of water and waste is also machine regulated. The reason traditional methods have been abandoned is to make this particular method more user-friendly.
